TIFF is inviting young audiences and creators to explore the Next Wave Film Festival – free for anyone under 25, showcasing riveting and authentic coming-of-age stories in communities around the globe and curated by a group of young film enthusiasts.

Kick things off with Battle of the Scores, where four up-and-coming bands compete for one big prize. Catch an advance screening of the highly-anticipated film Tilman Singer’s Cuckoo, starring Hunter Schafer and Dan Stevens, and connect with filmmakers for tips and inspiration in the Young Creators Co-Lab at TIFF Lightbox. Don’t miss Loved It with Priyanka, winner of Canada’s Drag Race season one, who dissects Hustlers (2019) starring Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu; and a special screening of The Concierge, directed by Yoshimi Itazu (Paprika, The Wind Rises).
