TIFF Next Wave is the heartbeat of year-round programming at TIFF Bell Lightbox for young audiences. Every year, we select 12 youth-friendly films that screen at the Festival in September and the TIFF Next Wave Film Festival in February.

The programme also includes our young filmmakers’ competition, Jump Cuts, and the TIFF Next Wave Film Club, a monthly series that brings young film lovers together to discuss all things film.

The TIFF Next Wave Film Festival features FREE movies (including your old faves and new releases from around the world), amazing guests and Q&A sessions, industry workshops and panels, the 24-Hour Film Challenge (in case you hate sleeping), the always epic kickoff at Battle of the Scores, and free WiFi throughout the building for those long hangs.
