Max Porter, the multi-award-winning author of The Death of Francis Bacon, Lanny, and Grief Is the Thing with Feathers will appear at Toronto's new state-of-the-art TD Music Hall for a one-night-only multi-disciplinary performance. Porter will recite an abridged version of his latest novel Shy, joined by the live musical accompaniment of Canadian Juno Award-winner Leslie Feist. A novel about guilt, rage, imagination and boyhood, Shy follows a troubled teenage boy considering what could be his final decision in this world. This moving and inventive evening of storytelling will include a moderated conversation with Porter and audience Q&A, with a book signing to follow.
