The Word On The Street Annual Book & Magazine Festival

The Word On The Street will return to the streets of Toronto this spring with new dates and a new (old) home. The 33rd edition of Canada’s largest open-air book and magazine festival will take place June 11th & 12th on Queen’s Park Crescent from Bloor to Wellesley Street.

The 2022 festival will feature readings by 100+ authors including Jesse Wente, Kate Heartfield, Cadence Weapon (aka Rollie Pemberton), Emma Healey, Farzana Doctor, Ruth Ohi and Patricia Storms!

The outdoor marketplace will showcase a wide range of Canadian and Indigenous books, magazines, comics, and more for readers of all ages. Annick Press, Coach House Books, ECW Press, HarperCollins Canada, Wolsak & Wynn, House of Anansi and Groundwood Books are just a few of the fantastic publishers you'll be able to browse this June, including dozens of arts organizations, magazines, and independent authors to discover in the dedicated Indie Alley.

More details about the lineup, exhibitors, and schedule will be shared leading up to the festival. Visit toronto.thewordonthestreet.ca for more information!
