The Video Dead
Free movie! Let's get spooky!
The season of spirits is upon us, and your friends here at the Hollow Moon Movie Club are firm believers that Hallowe'en shouldn't just be relegated to the 31st, it should be celebrated everyday in October!
(Well, that and our time slot is the second Sunday of the month, so we are required to kick off a little earlier than most).
Our showing this month is the nonsensical yet admirably creative "The Video Dead" (1987), where two siblings must fend off an attack of zombies from a cursed television.
What it lacks in actual quality, "The Video Dead" makes up for with trying just so darn hard to be a spooky movie, like if a children's theatre troup tried to put on a production of Julius Cesar. It was definetly a bad idea, but they're trying their best, and you gotta admire them for that!
Costumes very much encouraged, heck, maybe we'll even have a contest (though with our prize history, don't get your hopes up for more than some titty cards).
Free 19+ event! Doors at 7, movie at 8. Handlebar doesn't serve food, but you are welcome to bring outside food with you.
