The Tale of a Town Canada - Toronto Show
We're back, Toronto!
Since 2014, FIXT POINT has travelled to every province and territory in Canada with The Tale of a Town - Canada, documenting the living memories of over 3000 people. This year, the project culminates in a nationally touring theatre show.
Created by husband and wife duo, Charles Ketchabaw and Lisa Marie DiLiberto, The Tale of a Town Canada features some of the thousands of voices recorded on their three-year storygathering tour of the country. This multimedia performance is presented alongside personal anecdotes from this epic family adventure peppered with humour, nostalgia and moments of madness.
This Toronto stop on the 9-city tour is a special homecoming for the company. After touring Canada in their storymobile, FIXT POINT is thrilled to bring the Tale of a Town back home to Theatre Passe Muraille, where the project had its first presentation in 2011, with The Tale of a Town - Queen West.
The Tale of a Town Canada has been developed in collaboration with artists from across the country, and this Toronto performance includes a choir, a live band, and surprise appearances from local notables.
