ABOUT THE FILMS
Exploring documentary, fiction, dance film and music video genres, these 4 short films by award-winning directors Joseph Johnson-Camí and Ayelen Liberona, star celebrated dance artist Margie Gillis in a powerful portrayal of a rebellion inspiring goddess. Stunning imagery shot with Walter Klassen’s body/camera rig technologies, allow Ms. Gillis to achieve mind bending perspectives through her choreography.
The films also feature champion beatboxer Balu Ballistic and spoken word artist True Daley, as they inspire a fearless group of teenagers to jam on the issues that deeply affect their lives - from racism to big pharma’s push to medicate their dissenting behaviours.
The final film, "Tiny Mirrors”, is a music video collaboration with the shape-shifting electronic music duo that is LAL as we re-imagine our perceptions of love, loss and change.
