The Ontario Oyster Festival and Oyster Opening Championship

Rodney’s Oyster House, one of Canada’s legendary Oyster houses, is excited to announce the much-anticipated return of the Ontario Oyster Festival and Oyster Opening Championship. Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 21st, from 1 PM to 9 PM, and join us at Rodney’s Oyster House laneway (461-469 King Street West, Toronto) for a day filled with seafood, entertainment, and to support a great cause.

This year’s must-attend event, and beloved tradition for over 35 years, is gearing up to deliver its most sensational experience yet. Attendees can anticipate a vibrant atmosphere filled with a live auction, live music, premium spirits, fine wines, craft beers, and an array of delicious food stations. Participating vendors include Tutti Matti, Slow Poke Food, Pico de Gallo, and, of course, Rodney’s Oyster House.

Highlights of the event include:

* The shucking of 14,000 Oysters

* The cracking of 400 lobsters

* The pouring of 4,000 pints of beer by Amsterdam, Creemore Springs, Steamwhistle, Beyond the Pale, Blood Bros, Alpine, and Muskoka

* Live performances by Horshack The Band and more

* A wide selection of wines from Cave Spring, Small Winemakers, Collection, Noble Estates, Lex Wines, and Big Head Winery and more

* Expertly crafted cocktails by Dillons, Spring Mill Distillery, and Basil Hayden

Get ready to witness some professionals wrestle open Oysters at this year’s Ontario Oyster Shucking Championship: Oyster Mania, where the best shuckers in the province will compete for the title and the opportunity to represent Ontario at the Canadian championships.
