The Maple Leaf Forever - Canada Day Extravaganza!
Since the adoption of the current Canadian flag in 1965, the maple leaf has served as an iconic symbol of Canadian identity across the country and around the world. Whether flown from flagpoles, sewn on backpacks, printed on t-shirts or painted on faces, the sight of our national emblem evokes strong emotions in Canadians both at home and abroad. What does the maple leaf mean to you? As Canada continues to grow, becoming more and more diverse, to what extent does the maple leaf still represent all our citizens? Wear your red or white and join us as we create a human flag and share our ideas about how the maple leaf represents us.
Meet up wearing your red and white t-shirts outside of the main entrance of Harbourfront Centre at 1:00pm on Canada Day July 1 to be a part of the human flag!
