Since the adoption of the current Canadian flag in 1965, the maple leaf has served as an iconic symbol of Canadian identity across the country and around the world. Whether flown from flagpoles, sewn on backpacks, printed on t-shirts or painted on faces, the sight of our national emblem evokes strong emotions in Canadians both at home and abroad. What does the maple leaf mean to you? As Canada continues to grow, becoming more and more diverse, to what extent does the maple leaf still represent all our citizens?
