The Local Loop Market
The Local Loop exists to create, nurture, and elevate a community of local small businesses and talented artists who prioritize sustainability and “closing the loop” in all product offerings. Our goal is to make it easy for people to make simple adjustments in their day-to-day buying behaviours to move towards a more circular economy.
Our second in-person event will be taking place in Parkdale, TO on Sunday April 30th from 11am-6pm. This is a ticketed event (includes first drink) with 20+ diverse vendors selling a variety of goods under the header of sustainability ranging from food, housewares, clothing , accessories, toys, home decor, plants, and more. Attendees will enjoy a popup biergarten hosted by Great Lakes Brewery, and live music all day long by local Toronto talent.
The Local Loop Market is a fundraising event, meaning that the event organizers (SowSweet Greetings) do not pull profit from vendor fees or collect profit from admission. Vendors keep 100% of their sales (aside from an optional 10% donation to our local charity partner). For this event, SowSweet has partnered with Parkdale Project Read (PPR) as part of their mission to giveback to the community where each Local Loop event takes place. Attendees can expect to see PPR learner artwork and poetry as part of the event decor, and will have an opportunity to contribute via ticket sales, in-person donation, or volunteering opportunities on event day.
