The Fox and the Grapes food pop-up at Paradise Grapevine

This weekend we will be hosting a very special pop up. Joe Fox has flown over the Atlantic Ocean to grill on our patio for three days this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Anyone that's had Joe's food will appreciate his creativity, thoughtful ingredient selection and an artful ability to combine flavours and textures. The pop-up will run from 2pm each day until sold out. We recommend coming early.

Menu:

Marinated beefsteak tomato with caper, green onion and parsley salad ⁣

Charred corn with brown butter, Handeck cheese, chilli and oregano ⁣⁣

Grilled yellow peach with ricotta, cured pork shoulder and basil ⁣⁣

Wild salmon cooked on a board of cedar with pickled radish and cucumber, pine salt ⁣

Spatchcock quail with grilled onion butter and rosemary salt ⁣

Champagne jelly with summer berries and mascarpone cream ⁣⁣

Starting at 2pm this Friday, Saturday, Sunday⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Also, did you ever wonder where the expression 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘦𝘴 comes from? One poetical translation of Aesop's ancient fable:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This Fox has a longing for grapes:

He jumps, but the bunch still escapes.

So he goes away sour;

And, 'tis said, to this hour

Declares that he's no taste for grapes.
