Mark your calendars! March 28 is the official launch of The Doll Project: #SewMuchHeart. This new charity auction celebrates the therapeutic value of creativity and will help support family-oriented programs at The Textile Museum of Canada and Project Sunshine Canada. Register online to bid on collectable Surgi Dolls created by professional artists, designers, and celebrities, or to buy tickets to the closing reception at the Museum on April 11, 7–10 pm, with special guest Sally Siren.

Surgi Dolls are a core part of Project Sunshine Canada's programming. This charity works to make life easier for kids facing medical challenges, and distributes over 750 Surgi Dolls to hospitals across Canada each year through their Sending Sunshine program. Children decorate these blank dolls of diverse skin tones, creating their own special buddy to travel with them through their medical journey providing a sense of comfort and control.

Support The Doll Project and you could take home your very own collectible Surgi Doll. Highlighting the intersections of healing and creativity through textiles, these one-of-a-kind art objects are not for hospital use, but are based on the Surgi Dolls distributed by Project Sunshine Canada. Funds raised will be split between the Museum Education Program and the Sending Sunshine program. Don't forget to register!
