The Bacchae
One day the city of Thebes woke to find all the women missing. A stranger has arrived spreading the gospel of Dionysus, the God of wine and pleasure. The young king of Thebes, Pentheus, is trying to maintain order and control as his city spirals into a chaotic frenzy of dancing, sex, and worship. This workshop production of Euripides classic play, The Bacchae, takes a contemporary edge in this 5 person ensemble performance.
