We'll look at text in art and design, using modern day examples as well as those from historical sources. Using your own words, or, using text from others who inspire, you'll create a piece of mixed media work that will be informed by you and will include both image(s) and text. Text provides an opportunity to explore colour and shape, as well as gives an artwork unique and compelling textures. Please bring an idea of the text that you wish to incorporate to the first class.
