Taxidermy 101: Rabbits

Join us to learn some fundamentals of Anthropomorphic Taxidermy, a foundational branch of the taxidermy world. At the end of the workshop, each participant will go home with their very own taxidermied rabbit specimen.

Methods and techniques that will be taught in this workshop include, introduction to clays and tools specific to taxidermy, glass eye painting, molding and sculpting specimens and how to pose specimens in natural and anthropomorphic poses. These methods and techniques can be applied to all small mammal taxidermy.

All materials will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring props or costumes to add to your finished piece.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All rabbit specimens are ethically sourced for educational purposes and may vary in colour. No animals have been killed for the the sole purpose of this workshop.
