The Bechdel Bill is a Canadian initiative to encourage film industry professionals to create more meaningful acting roles for women. Pledges promise that 80% of their films will pass the Bechdel Test. Ie, should a producer have a slate of 10 films, 8 would pass the test (as described below). To pass the Bechdel Test your film must have:

Two women with names

Who talk to each other

About something other than a man
