Sunday Scene: Rajni Perera

The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery
Sunday, November 6, 2016
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

During our FREE Sunday Scene talks, speakers from the world of art and beyond offer their responses to the current exhibitions. Whether focusing on a single work/artist or on multiple exhibitions, guest presenters draw provocative connections between our programs and broader cultural and intellectual debates.

Rajni Perera is a Toronto-based artist inspired by everything under the sun. With influences ranging from paleontology to futurism, Pereras creative focus lies in merging remnants from the past with the astronomical proportions of the future unknown. Her work reflects her unique perspective on the ethnicity and organic richness of discovery, science and mythical creation. Perera will discuss Latifa Echakhchs exhibition, Cross Fade.
