Sumi-e: The Way of the Brush
As part of Doors Open Toronto, the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre is featuring an Art Show and Sale called "Sumi-e: The Way of the Brush". Our intent is to promote “Friendship through Culture” through education on what Sumi-e (soo me–ay) is and to showcase local Sumi-e artists whose work will demonstrate how this traditional Japanese art form evokes a gentler, more meaningful world. Sumi-e demos and gallery tours will be held throughout the weekend.
