Songkran Market
Get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Thailand as PAI’s Songkran Market returns. PAI Uptown, located at 2335 Yonge Street, will be celebrating the Thai New Year in style with a special one-day-only Songkran Market on Saturday, April 13 from 11 am-3 pm.
The Songkran Market promises to transport attendees to the bustling streets of Thailand—reminiscent of the country’s many street markets—offering a feast for the senses with tantalizing aromas and colourful displays. We’ll have some amazing local vendors selling everything from vintage clothing to vinyl records, handmade candles to caricature drawings, dog treats for your furry pals to tote bags, pins & patches to jewellery, and much more! Relax your aching muscles with a Thai massage. Wash away any residual bad luck and invite good luck and fortune for the new year with our traditional Buddha statue water blessing feature.
We’ll also be selling some of Chef Nuit Regular's favourite off-menu Songkran specialties, like Khao Kha Moo (Braised Pork Hock on Rice), Khao Mun Gai (Thai-style Chicken Rice), Som Tum (Green Papaya Salad), and Moo Ping (Grilled Pork Skewers).
To continue their tradition of giving back to Chef Nuit’s Thai community, all net proceeds made from the Songkran Market food station sales will be donated to young students in her hometown in Northern Thailand to help sponsor school supplies.
