showURheart: a mass collab art exhibition

This Valentine’s Day, studio IDFK presents the #showURheart art exhibition, a show exploring the theme of love from a broader perspective. Synthesizing hundreds of individual artworks portraying the emotion in what the studio calls a “mass collaboration,” it aims to convey a multitude of conceptions of love and the many different ways of perceiving, giving and receiving it.

The #showURheart artwork was created by hundreds of both professional artists and non-artists alike, each painting a portrait of their own heart on a five-inch square canvas, then merging them all together to form one giant heartfelt mosaic. The smaller, individual “heart works” will be available for sale by silent auction with a portion of all proceeds donated to CAMH.

Alongside the collaborative installation will be a show on the same theme from some of Toronto’s most notable contemporary artists, including Anthony Ricciardi, Michael Wills, and Yulianna Marusina.
