In partnership with the cultural services of the French Embassy in Canada, Alliance Française de Toronto presents a screening of award winning 120 Beats per Minute

(2017, 143 minutes, French with English subtitles), by French director Robin Campillo. The screening will be preceded by a historical and political presentation

of the movie by Antoine Idier (in French) entitled “Une histoire de la colère” (An history of anger).

Synopsis: Early 1990s. With AIDS having already claimed countless lives for nearly ten years, Act up-Paris activists multiply actions to fight general indifference. Nathan, a newcomer to the group, has his world shaken up by Sean, a radical militant, who throws his last bits of strength into the struggle.
