Locally Developed is a five-piece band from the Toronto Beach neighborhood. The band members are all 16 years old and consist of Alex Schuell on bass, Colin Lafaury on drums, Jonny Bojin on vocals and keyboards, and Max Pilchner and Owen Keeler on guitar. They play only original music they have developed since starting the band in the summer of 2017.
Early response to their limited public performances has been outstanding. Their music is a combination of many influences, blended together to create a new contemporary sound with influences from The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Maroon 5, and the Police. Ian K is one of those rare modern rock artists that brings something unique to the world of rock music in the current age. Throughout his career, he has played on some of the biggest stages to be found anywhere, and has had the good fortune to play alongside some of the big names in music in Canada, including members of Our Lady Peace, Platinum Blonde, Honeymoon Suite, Von Groove, and even Jake E. Lee's Red Dragon Cartel.
He has even sang unreleased tracks with Slash and Velvet Revolver. In February of 2015 Ian's music made it's way onto the new music charts when his first radio release 'Linger' broke the National Radio Airplay Top 50 Rock chart as measured by Digital Radio Tracker. In November of 2016, his single 'Your Hero' broke onto the Euro Indie Music charts at position 95, moved it's way up to position 18, and currently resides at 19 on the charts.
In May of 2017, Ian's single 'Never Let Me Go' was selected to be featured on a TSN program, entitled Highways to Fairways, a show that details the adventures of two men as they play different golf courses around the USA and Canada.
