Tapestry Opera presents the triumphant return of Rocking Horse Winner, composed by Gareth Williams with libretto by Anna Chatterton, based on the D.H. Lawrence short story. Asitha Tennekoon returns to his Dora-Award winning role as Paul, a childlike young man obsessed with winning the affection of his emotionally distant and materialistic mother Ava, a role reinvented by the darkly glamorous Lucia Cesaroni. As money grows scarce, Paul concocts a plan to save the family’s fortune and win his mother’s love - but at what cost? Four years since winning the Dora Award for Outstanding Production, Rocking Horse Winner returns to enchant old and new audiences alike.
