The Whiskeys🥃

Your whisky tasting flight will include four rare single cask single malt whiskys from private bottlings or special collections coming straight from independent distilleries in Scotland. You won't find these whiskys anywhere else in all of Canada, a testament to the Caledonian's extensive inventory.

OLD PULTENEY 2004 - (63.3%)

1 of 507 Bottles

Region: Highland

A 15-year Old Pulteney bottled as part of Gordon & MacPhail's Cask Strength Connoisseurs Choice range. This range is an ever-changing collection of unique perspectives on distilleries’ own bottlings, non-chill-filtered single cask and small batch expressions bottled at cask strength — exceptional one-offs.

Aromas of red apple, sweet gooseberry, orange peel and raisin with underlying hints of cinnamon and ginger fill the nose, complemented by sweetness on the palate with flavors of white pepper, orange, ripe banana and milk chocolate.

HIGHLAND PARK 2006 - (60.1%)

1 of 588 Bottles

Region: Island

A 2006 Highland Park single malt from indie bottler Gordon & Macphail, matured in a single refill sherry puncheon for 14 years, before being bottled in August 2020 as part of its Connoisseurs Choice series. Aromas of green apples, kiwi, cinnamon and almond fill the nose, complemented by notes of strawberry, chilli, milk chocolate and wisps of smoke throughout the palate.

DALMORE 2005 - (57.9%)

1 of 251 Bottles

Region: Highland

A 2005 Dalmore single malt, matured in a refill bourbon barrel for 13 years before being bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in July 2019, as part of its Connoisseurs Choice series. Floral aromas fight against citrus fruit and vanilla on the nose, while the palate offers notes of white chocolate, pepper, toasted cereal and dried banana, with hints of oak spice in the finish.

GLENTAUCHERS 2009 - (46.0%)

1 of 397 Bottles

Region: Speyside

A 6 year old single malt from the Glentauchers distillery in Speyside, aged in a refill hogshead and distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2016. This single cask bottling is one of only 397 bottles that were bottled in 2016 by Langside Distillers in Hepburn’s Choice range. Aromas of porridge oats and sponge cake. Notes of more sponge cake as well as lemon drizzle on the palette with a finish of citrus and buttered bread.

Fun Fact: The Caledonian has whisky and malt bottles from many different years and you can drink a whisky of your birth year! If whisky is your thing or if you're looking for the perfect crash course into the liquid gold; this is the experience for you.
