Proud Torontonian, by way of Italy, Success Okoro-Adima AKA SUCCESS K is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who sets out to make his mark by writing heartfelt songs with an innovative and optimistic style that can warm up the coldest of days. SLIM FLEX has been making waves across Canada, Jamaica and Africa with his recent cross-genre single, “Whine For Me,” released earlier this year. With musical influences such as Bob Marley, Prince, Marvin Gaye and Kojo Antwi, Slim Flex’s love for music is evident in every smooth track.
The seven-member EVOLUTION (EVLTN) has a serious passion for music and creating a unique vibe wherever they play. The versatile band, based in the heart of Toronto, combines urban gospel and African music to create their own musical renditions of hip-hop, rap, R&B; and Afro beats.
With members hailing from El Salvador, Chile, Argentina, Panama and Colombia, via Canada, Latin Hip Hop collective LOS POETAS is drawn together by a shared immigrant experience and fueled by a desire to celebrate their Latino heritage. With their impossible-to-keep-your-hips-still beats, these veterans of the Canadian Hip Hop scene, and masters of that Ol’ Boom Bap, are committed to addressing the struggles and injustices that persist in their homelands through beats and rhymes.
As one of Toronto’s youngest female DJ’s, DEEJAY MKAY draws influences from her Sierra Leonean roots to create a mixture of West, East, North and Southern African tracks that fuse seamlessly with modern and classic Caribbean, hip-hop, and R&B.;
