The Iranian community in Toronto will enjoy their 1st Comedy Film Festival organized by Phoenix Cultural Centre. This festival which starts on June 9th, will showcase the most popular and highest grossing comedies of Iranian Cinema on June 9th and 10th in the beautiful Agha Khan Museum.

The invitees of Phoenix Comedy festival are the most popular figures in Iranian cinema, whose talents and credentials, is anything but limited to the comedies that they have made or participated in. Among these prestigious figures, there are talents such as Mani Haghighi, Houman Seyyedi, Reza Attaran, Hamid Farrokhnejad, Pejman Jamshidi, and Ms. Tina Pakravan.

Three of the most prominent figures of Iranian Cinema, Mr. Mohammad Ali Dadgou (Producer), Mr. Mehdi Karampour (Director) and Mr. Hossein Moazzezinia (Movie Critic) will serve as this year’s jury of Phoenix Comedy Festival.
