Our unique Philosophical Chinese Calligraphy Workshop offers an engaging and reflective hands-on experience for anyone looking for an introduction to this ancient and profound art. Chinese brush writing provides an opportunity to contemplate the meaning behind the symbols while learning some fundamental keys to mental concentration and the beginnings of inner mastery. Together with calligrapher and philosopher Sui-Yung Tung, you will learn Chinese brush writing techniques, explore the symbolism and philosophy behind the characters, and be invited to cultivate the emotional calmness and mental clarity connected with the practice of Chinese Calligraphy.
Practice according to your own level. Both beginners and more experienced attendees are welcome.
The materials needed to create your own scrolls will be provided.
