Welcome to the last best party of the year! Or is it the first best party of the year? Who cares! We're OVER THE MOON to have the chance to celebrate the past and future with you! 

2016 was huge for LBO: we partied with you across Canada (NWT, the Yukon, BC and Alberta, Ontario and Quebec), got nominated for another Juno (now we're two-time losers!), produced/staged our critically acclaimed guerrilla folk opera about the 2014 Ukrainian revolution twice (Counting Sheep won Summerhall's Lustrum Award, The Scotsman's Fringe First Award and an Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award in Edinburgh), and recorded a new album with your input through our first local residency in years!

2017 has a whole lot more in store for us and our special guests the Soul Motivators; This heavy-hitting, 9-piece ensemble is a True North response to US contemporaries such as Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires, Antibalas and Menahan Street Band. Over a few short years these cats have moved masses at TD Jazz, NXNE and Yonge-Dundas Square and shared theatre billing with Grandmaster Flash, Bernie Worrell and Lee Fields. Their debut album “Free to Believe”, was released in 2015 to international airplay and critical success. This momentous period saw them play at Panamania – Toronto’s downtown celebrations for the Pan Am Games – and close TEDx Toronto with a sizzling live performance. With their sophomore album due to drop in 2017, we look forward to welcoming this deep-funk powerhouse to the stage.
