Out of Order

Out of Order is an exhibition of photo composites about post concussion syndrome and other invisible disabilities. The images are by up and coming photographer Hannah Mittelstaedt.

The photos were taken on Toronto Island, the great North Coast of Lake Superior, and on Canada’s southernmost inhabited spec of land, Pelee Island. The images create, through visual means, some of the feelings of pain and mental fogginess that are the hallmarks of this injury.

The exhibition is at the Riviera Gallery on Toronto Island, a seven minute walk from the Ward’s ferry dock. The opening is on May 4th from 7pm to 9pm and the show runs until May 29th. To attend the opening take the 6:30 or 7:30 ferries to Ward’s Island.

We would like to acknowledge funding and support from the Ontario Arts Council, an agency of the Government of Ontario.
