Open Roof Festival: Sorry To Bother You with Omhouse
Open Roof Festival's closing night starts off with the guitar pop of Omhouse led by Steven Foster before wrapping up the 2018 season of movies under the stars with one of the most talked about films of the year, Sorry To Bother You.
Written and directed by Oakland soul and funk musician Boots Riley, the film pushes the boundaries of genre and reality with its surreal, punk, WTF storytelling and aesthetics.
In an alternate present-day version of Oakland, telemarketer Cassius Green (Lakeith Stanfield) discovers a magical key to professional success, propelling him into a macabre universe.
Featuring a standout soundtrack and starring Lakeith Stanfield (Atlanta, Get Out) and Tessa Thompson ( Thor: Ragnarok), “Sorry To Bother Youambitiously pushes the envelope of the sci-fi and comedy genres for a wholly unique, refreshing and hilarious film.” (Molly Freeman, Screen Rant)
