One LUV Benefit Concert - Help Feed Homeless LGBTQ people 4 Christmas

In collaboration with TD Canada Trust, International recording artist, producer and soon to be culinary certifed Chef Sandy Duperval and Dancer, Choreographer, artistic director and producer Hollywood Jade have joined forces to bring you a night of non stop entertainment and soul for a great cause and even greater purpose.

We’ve stepped forward to partner with Mod Club Theatre to present the One LUV Benefit Concert.

This event will:

- Help feed over 200 homeless people from LGBTQ community; - Bring together some LGBTQ performers and allies; - Create a safe space for individuals in need of a warm meal, companionship and shelter on Christmas; - Donate warm clothes to individuals in need during the cold holiday season.

The One LUV Benefit Concert is taking place December 17th, 2016 and will help feed and donate gifts such as clothing and nonperishable goods to 200 homeless people from the LGBTQ community December 23, 2016, at the 519 Community Centre in Toronto.

Research shows that the suicide attempt rate increases substantially around this time of the year, especially in the LGBTQ community. 20% of youth in the shelter system face discrimination due to homophobia and transphobia, which in turn prevents them from receiving the needed accommodations and nourishment available in the city. Reasons such as homophobia and transphobia in the home, family excommunication and loneliness also attribute to some having nowhere to stay or anyone to celebrate the holidays with.
