Nuit Blanche at Museum of Toronto, Where City Meets Nature
“Raccoon Alley” comes alive behind 401 Richmond to animate Museum of Toronto’s “Toronto Gone Wild” exhibit. The works in “Raccoon Alley” are themed around our relationship to animals of this city and how we coexist. It is also about our creative spirit and how our imagination is often not far from the truth. “Raccoon Alley” features “Conrad”, 2023 a 14-foot raccoon sculpture by artists Novak Djogo & Daniel Joshua Vandershort commemorating our lost friend, an interactive exhibit by elsonstudio that explores our city’s green spaces, and a live soundscape installation by Byron Kent Wong. “Toronto Gone Wild,” the indoor exhibition invites visitors to consider three of our most beloved ecosystems — the alley, the ravine, and the shoreline — and explores the stories of all creatures who live in our city. Find out more about our city, be an artist and creative spirit, design something for your friends, write a note to a bird, and pitch a story about your favourite animal or green space. In truly unexpected ways, bridge the space between Toronto’s urban and natural worlds.
