November Community Weekend
Join MOCA Toronto for an engaging Community Weekend that melds art with technology! Through a series of activities and guided tours, find your inner creative genius and explore how the human experience relates to our ever-evolving digital environment in Tishan Hsu’s exhibition, "Interface Remix."
On Saturday, the Randomness and Robotics workshop will take the fundamentals of coding and robotics and apply it to creative works of art! This workshop requires no prior experience and is inspired by Tishan Hsu’s Interface Remix. It’s perfect for anyone curious about the intersection of technology and art.
Participants will learn the basic elements of coding and what it means to be a robot. With this knowledge, they’ll develop their own art-bots and create display-worthy masterpieces!
On TD Community Sunday, put on your thinking caps and join MOCA’s Art Educators for a drop-in workshop that encourages kids to imagine wearable technology, and to think beyond smart watches and imagine a fantastical future. This workshop will introduce kids of all ages to practice design thinking, prototyping, problem solving and sculpture using everyday items.
