Nordic Art Party with Immersive Exhibits and a Sauna on Wheels

If you want to remember one fact about the tiny Nordic nation of Estonia, is that they like to party. Whether it's the summer solstice or Walpurgis Night - there’s a party for it.

In this case the celebration is about art and culture. KUNSTIPIDU is the Estonian word for it and literally means art party. With an immersive art+sound installation, an interactive art experiment, DJs, regional cuisine, and a sauna on wheels, this is your chance to experience the Nordic high life with a dose of northern lights right here in Toronto. Artists hail from Sweden, USA, Canada and of course Estonia.

The historic St. Anne's Parish Hall will be overtaken by music that ranges from genre-bending dancey-trancey to big bad beats with a soft side and an interactive art exhibit welcomes you to explore your identity and roots. You're encouraged to hop into a steaming hot sauna in-between sets - that's partying the Estonian way.

DJ sets by Kara-Lis Coverdale (CA), Maria Minerva (EE/US), Liis Ring (SE/EE) , Erik Laar (CA) & DJ McHI (CA, UA).

Live Performances by Mari Kalkun (EE) & Ansambel Triskele (EE).

An interactive art exhibit by EKKT- Society of Estonian Artists in Toronto invites you to explore and express your identity in a collaborative art experiment.

Sound + light installation by Constellation Creative.

Sauna on Wheels for that true Nordic experience.

Doors: 8pm

The Art Party is part of Estonian Music Week 2023 festival that runs May 24-28 in Toronto and Hamilton. The festival features a wide range of genres and artists that like to blur those boundaries. More information at www.emw2023.ca
