Newfoundland Songwriter Colleen Power Performs in Toronto:

Newfoundland’s own Colleen Power will perform a rare show in Toronto this weekend. It’s been ten years since her last concert in the city. Colleen is a multiple MusicNL award winner and has been nominated for several ECMA award and a Canadian Folk Music Award. Having released eight albums to date, Colleen’s song catalogue is almost endless, and you will hear a variety of acoustic folk and alternative songs, mainly in English with some in French.

Colleen Power has become a youtube phenomenon in recent years, having released numerous music videos, both in English and French, raking in hundreds of thousands of views. Her sense of humour has Newfoundland roots and is often frank and disarming, engaging audiences the world over.

Colleen recently made headlines with her song for striking workers called “Crossing the Line”, which has been embraced by unions Canada-wide and she is in demand to perform it at union conventions and events.

Colleen will perform at the Cloak and Dagger Pub, 394 College Street, along with Blair Harvey and the Poor Darlins TONIGHT, Saturday, December 6. She will hit the stage at 10 PM sharp. Admission is Pay What You can.
