Nazar-i Turkwaz (“My Turquoise Gaze”) joins together four musicians — Brenna MacCrimmon, Maryem Tollar, Sophia Grigoriadis, and Jayne Brown — who, for over 30 years, have been collecting and performing traditional repertoire from the Middle East and Turkey to Greece and the Balkans. Active contributors to such musical projects as Maza Meze, Mraya, Doula, and Altin Yildiz Orkestra, these musicians also count multiple Juno nominations among their achievements.
