MUSICIANS & DANCERS COMBINE IN TANGO - JAZZ NUEVO

Two of Toronto’s finest musicians, violinist Conrad Chow and pianist Michael Berkovsky share their versatility and brilliant technique in an enthralling afternoon of tango and jazz with live dancers.

The two award-winning musicians make their jazz debuts, in performance with dancers Anjelica Scannura and Damian Norman, along with Andrew Ascenzo, cello; Lorne Grossman, drums; and Bob Mills, bass. Their program features tangos by Astor Piazzolla; Claude Bolling’s Suite for Violin and Jazz Piano Trio; and Carlos Gardel’s Por una cabeza, from the film Scent of a Woman.

The concert is a participating event in the Chinese-Canadian Performing Arts Festival.
