Museum of Quiet Sounds
Experimental performing arts company Din of Shadows presents Museum of Quiet Sounds, a pop-up sound museum featuring 10 musical exhibits in different rooms of the venue. Audience members are free to walk around, talk quietly, and drink beverages throughout the museum. Perfect for kids, grandparents, and date nights; and ideal for folks who have difficulty sitting still or focusing for lengths of time, and for people who don't usually attend new music shows.
Exhibits include string quartet (Interro Quartet), gamelan trio (Clover Ensemble), theatrical brass duo (ék), violin/ percussion duo (Duo Holz), solo harp + projections (Grace Scheele), solo piano (Wesley Shen), solo voice + video (Hillary Jean Young), sound installation (Sara Constant), acousmatic, and silent. The show features 14 performers, 16 composers, and 900 minutes of music across all 10 exhibits.
