Murdoch Mysteries star Hélène Joy adopts Toronto blood donor clinic

Actress joins Canadian Blood Services to help save lives

WHAT: Actress Hélène Joy, who plays Dr. Julia Ogden on TV’s Murdoch Mysteries will be visiting a Toronto clinic to encourage eligible donors to join her and help save lives by donating blood.

“You wouldn't know it because I play a doctor on TV, but I'm incredibly queasy around blood and I'm afraid of needles,” says Hélène Joy. “However the truth is that the pain lasts a millisecond but the end results are life changing. If you're eligible to do so, please give blood now because there are people in need.”
