Mozart and Haydn
Celebrating the TMC’s 120th Anniversary
To mark its 120th anniversary the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, joined by orchestra and soloists, will perform two Classical masterpieces in the perfect acoustics of Koerner Hall. The jubilant drama of Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, regarded by many as the composer’s greatest single work, conveys an infectious joy. Conductor Noel Edison has paired this work with Mozart’s glorious final composition. The Requiem highlights the profundity of Mozart’s musical legacy and remains one of the most-performed choral works of all time.
