META is an annual exhibition that showcases the production and curatorial thesis work of the 4th year New Media students from Ryerson University. Each year, META provides a platform for displaying emerging artists work that combines contemporary art practice with limitless technological innovation. META has a radiating impact on every year in our program as it is what the years below look up to. The New Media program at Ryerson has a strong bond with their alumnis, the program has been around for 10 years and META acts as a reunion for alumni to reconnect with the program and network with the students entering the art world. Overall, META gives the fourth year New Media students an opportunity to showcase their work in an off campus gallery setting, for institutional and industry professionals to observe, as they approach their own professional careers.
