Driven by a voice that evokes raw emotion, Rose Cousins music bravely explores the shadowy corners of the heart. Just as her songs embrace sadness, pain, and longing, these emotions are counterbalanced in performance by Rose's quick, wry wit. A native of PEI, she lives in Halifax, NS, deeply values being part of multiple music communities, and is constantly fueled by collaboration.

Her 2012 album "We Have Made A Spark" won a JUNO Award, 3 East Coast Music Awards, a Canadian Folk Music Award, and was nominated for the Polaris Music Prize.

Released earlier this year, Cousins calls the album Natural Conclusion the most honest and vulnerable thing she has made to date. The Guardian explained, The simplicity of these songs is deceiving; as sparse as they feel, her voice draws you in until you realize you are at the heart of the storm. and Pop Matters called it a beautiful album

Following a sold-out performance at The Great Hall Rose Cousins returns to Toronto, performing at The Harbourfront Centre Theatre this spring.
