Just the FAQs
Is there an age range for this event?
Yes! This age range of the event is 25-36.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
BARRY’S BOOTCAMP is located between Spadina Road and Avenue Road on Richmond Street. Click below for parking and transit information: https://www.barrysbootcamp.com/studio/toronto/
What are your privacy rules?
FOAF and BARRY’S will have the right to use the contact information of the participants. By participating you indeed expressly authorise us to give the contact EMAIL you provided to all the people you are "matched" with. (A match is when two people both select the other for connecting on their match card)
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Feel free to reach out to us with any questions: yentaleeanne@gmail.com
What if I am late, can I still jump in?
The host will wait up to 10 minutes for latecomers, and then they must begin the event. Please notify us immediately if you anticipate you might be up to 10 minutes late via the email provided in the event reminder email.
Is there food and drinks at this event?
There will be smoothies and/or prosecco available at the end of the workout.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You just need to present your ID card to the host to prove that you are the registered person you claim to be. That is the best way to prevent identity theft. If you can’t provide your ID card, you won’t be allowed to participate.
How does the event work?
All participants will be divided into two groups (men and women) who will each be rotating between the treadmill and strength training floor. You get about 1 ½ to 3 minutes per pair depending on the amount of participants. When the host gives the signal, the rotators immediately thank their date, and rotate to the next exercise or match. You will have a match card with a list of the numbers of each participant you've met. If you like date #3 for example, tick that box for "date" "friend" or "networking".
What is a "match"?
Only when two participants say YES to one another for the same connection (date, friend, networking), are they "a match". The organizers will contact each match exchanging their email addresses and the "type of match" within 48 hours of the event. Person A gets person B's email and vice versa.
What is the dress code?
Dress code is workout wear and kicks - be prepared to sweat!
How should I act at this event?
You will always be polite and respectful towards the hosts and participants. Even if you match with someone, if that person does not want to go any further, you will respect that decision. Disruptive participants can and will be excluded from the speed dates.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel up to 7 days prior to the event. We work hard to have an even number of couples for the event, and last minute cancellations make for an unbalanced evening. FOAF and BARRY’S reserve the right to cancel this event up to 7 days prior to the event if participation numbers have not been met. In such case, a full refund will be offered to all participants.
