Lizzie Violet's Cabaret Noir featuring Jezebel Beelzebub Bells, Regina Dentata and Nelson Sobral
Lizzie Violets Cabaret Noir is a monthly event that brings you an evening of indie artistry and cabaret. The mistress of ceremonies, Lizzie Violet will introduce cabaret stylings such as poetry, Spoken Word, music, Burlesque, comedy and a variety of other vaudeville style acts. Inspired by Vaudeville of the early 1900s, it will be an evening of pure entertainment.
Each monthly event will have three features that consist of one part poetry spoken word and slam as well, one part music and one part vaudeville burlesque/magic/comedy. A night of frivolity and entertainment for all. Lizzie Violets Cabaret Noir will be the second Sunday of every month at the The Central on Markham Street, from 7 pm to 10 pm. Keeping with the theme of cabarets roots, music will be unplugged, poetry will be edgy and the vaudeville will be sassy!
We will have limited open mic spots for poets, performers and musicians. Sign up starts at 7.

Featuring:
Jezebel Beelzebub Bells doesnt like you. In fact, he thinks you are stupid! But he is a great artist, so you should let him treat you badly. He will also steal your work because Jim Jarmusch said it was okay. He is the alpha and the omega. He always wins. He will stare at you with an open-mouthed grin if you stand up for yourself.
Regina Dentata aka Regie is the unexpected bite. Trained at the Toronto School of Burlesque under Headmistress Red Herring she likes to draw in her audience before kicking out the surprise bite. When not shaking it at the Kensington based Burlesque school you can find her hanging from the ceiling at circus school or livening up a random corner of Youtube. For more unexpected fun Regie will be at the March 8th installment of Lunacy Cabaret debuting a sailor themed act of the Mercury variety.
Canadian Rock Troubadour Nelson Sobral is a writer and performer in his own right who releases his material under the moniker Melting Pot is a staple of the Toronto music scene.
