Join us for this highly anticipated, free family holiday event that brings the Beach and surrounding communities together to get into the holiday spirit. Watch Santa Claus as he magically illuminates the Beaches Boardwalk with 80,000 lights and turns it into a winter destination. Join us for hot beverages, a photo booth and festive songs! The lights will sparkle nightly until late-February along the boardwalk from the Leuty Lighthouse to The Balmy Beach Club. A number of local businesses will be hosting special fundraising initiatives in conjunction with the event.

All proceeds from the event will support addiction and mental health programs at Michael Garron Hospital, including building state-of-the art adult, child and adolescent inpatient facilities in the new Ken and Marilyn Thomson Patient Care Centre, slated to open in spring 2022. We encourage you to donate onsite and online.

About Light Up The Beach:

A tradition since 2007, DeClute Light up the Beach was conceived as a way of making the boardwalk and Beach more of a destination for local residents in the cold winter months. DeClute Real Estate dedicates an enormous amount of resources and hours every year, carefully stringing Christmas lights as high as 65ft above the boardwalk through the mature oak, maple and willow trees lining the shores of Lake Ontario.
