Lars Lundehave Hansen (Copenhagen) makes his Toronto debut.
He has been working with ephemeral drones and physical music for the past 18 years - as a soundartist, enthusiastic promoter and dedicated performer in these fields. He co-founded legendary organization Noisejihad and was the catalyst behind danish renowned drone-act Wäldchengarten.
He has also distinguished himself through a series of solo releases and sound-installations, both in Denmark and internationally. More recently "Terminal Velocity" which shows his excellent ability to build a sonic space which is both dreamy yet physical.

On tour along side Lars is Guelph's own Hymns57.
An exploratory concoction of ambient psychedelia. The soundscape project of Steven de Taeye creates a backwash of lush drone, using tape loops and subtle field recordings. Often weaving itself into improvisational territory and reaching the outer limits of cosmic soundscapes before returning back and nestling you into the warmth of guitar loops and mesmerizing effects. A seemingly uniform sheet of sound, but houses a shifting texture within it.

The evening wouldn't be complete without very special guests and support act Joyful Joyful. The Toronto-based duo whose strange and beautiful soundscapes have been quietly attracting notice since they began performing four years ago. Drawing on traditional, sacred, and experimental music, Joyful Joyful doesn’t sound like anything else. Their performances are unsettling, humane, and hopeful. A thicket of cables and effects transforms a single, visceral voice into a shimmering and otherworldly chorus, making Joyful Joyful’s dense drone-hymns at once sorrowful, soaring, and deeply moving.
