Labyrinth Ensemble with Maliheh Moradi

Join Toronto’s foremost maqam group, the Labyrinth Ensemble, with prominent Iranian vocalist Maliheh Moradi at the beautiful Aga Khan Museum.

This will be an evening of modal music with a focus on Iranian dastgāh music infused with the interpretation of the 14 member ensemble.

The ensemble is composed of 14 stellar musicians dedicated to experimenting with sonic traditions from Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and beyond. The ensemble is a shining representative of Toronto’s musical landscape.

Joining us from Los Angeles, Moradi is a highly regarded singer and instrumentalist. She has performed in notable works such as the Mowlavi Opera alongside Homayoun Shajarian, Singing in Shadow with Siamak Jahangiri, and the film score Atash Sabz composed by Mohammad-Reza Darvishi.
