Time to start hissing and slithering because we are back with more of everybody’s favourite kung fu style!

Kwok Chung (Ng Kun Lung) is a righteous rich kid whose favourite hobby is to fight and brawl. One of his misadventures nearly gets him killed, but he is saved by a stranger (Fung Hak-On) who certainly has some flashy moves. After another brush with a fighter better than him, the stranger saves his ass once again. Kwok begs the stranger to accept him as a student and teach him this deadly style - The Snake Fist! Soon But Kwok realizes that his teacher has more in common with a snake than just techniques, and he may be a pawn in a bitter game of revenge against his own father (Wilson Tong).

SNAKE DEADLY ACT is a great example of one of the many indie kung fu films to come out in the wake of Jackie Chan’s SNAKE IN THE EAGLE’S SHADOW. Like Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung, director Wilson Tong (nicknamed “Foot Doctor” by fans) had a background in Peking Opera acrobatics and weapon training and became a stuntman/fighting extra for the then-booming martial arts cinema of the early seventies. He was a member of Sammo Hung’s Golden Harvest stunt-crew and can be glimpsed in nearly a dozen productions including WHEN TAEKWANDO STRIKES and ENTER THE DRAGON. In 1976, Tong moved to master filmmaker Lau Kar Leung’s stunt team at the Shaw studio and worked on CHALLENGE OF THE MASTER, EXECUTIONER FROM SHAOLIN and graduated to being the assistant action director for Lau’s seminal 36 CHAMBER OF SHAOLIN followed by SHAOLIN MANTIS and HEROES OF THE EAST.

In SNAKE DEADLY ACT Tong choreographs many memorable fights with some of kung fu cinema’s royalty including Angela Mao (Bruce Lee’s ill-fated sister in ENTER THE DRAGON) and the late Fung Hak-On, known for his villain roles in Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest films.
