Kids Summer Camp at an Art Gallery

Welcome to Blue Butterfly’s summer camp week!

We are looking forward to spending quality time with your little ones. With a holistic approach our program aims to provide a fun, creative, and memorable experience for all campers.

What to expect:

- Visit to local parks (possibly take TTC to Trinity Bellwood), and visit to walk-distance playgrounds

- Fun outdoor activities and exploration

- Visit to local business shop such vegan ice cream shop, the knit café, art gallery and Toronto Public Library

- Guest teachers for music, and arts

- Storytelling and imaginative play

- Art projects with an Art display on Friday from 4:00 – 4:30pm.

The program approach is based on Waldorf Education, Forest School Principles, and a deep respect for childhood.

Children must be 4 years of age to attend camp and able to follow instructions within a group setting. All summer campers must be potty trained. Please find more information about the summer camp as well as the mandatory forms in our website.

The summer camp will be led by Camila Garcia, a warm and creative soul dedicated to media production, education, and storytelling. Camila is from Brazil and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Radio and Television and diplomas in acting, dance, and children’s media. In her career in the film/TV industry, she has worked in many different types of productions, where she began to question how to best support the healthy development of our children. The Foundations of Anthroposophy studies showed her the way to Waldorf Education. She acted as a Kindergarten Teacher Assistant, After School Coordinator and Summer Camp Lead at Toronto Waldorf Academy. This year, she is pleased to bring to fruition her passion project called Blue Butterfly, and in partnership with Underscore Projects offers this summer camp week.

Laura Rosales, also from Brazil, will be Camila's assistant. Laura holds a Bachelor in Administration with postgraduate studies in Global Business Management from Centennial College. As a newcomer to Canada, she has worked in many different fields, including acting as Camila’s assistant in her storytelling events and in her events at the Waldorf community. She is excited to continue expanding her Canadian work experience by serving as this year’s camp assistant.

Don't miss the opportunity to signing up your child to a unique summer camp!
