Join us in celebrating the life of acclaimed Academy Award-winning Canadian documentary filmmaker John Zaritsky, who died of heart failure on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Vancouver General hospital at the age of 79.

Organized by John's widow Ann Clutton, this memorial screening and gathering will feature shared memories from a few of John's closest friends and collaborators, showcase clips from John's illustrious career that spanned over 30 years and saw him direct several feature documentaries including Tears Are Not Enough, College Days College Nights, Leave Them Laughing, and his 1983 Academy Award-winning Best Documentary Feature film Just Another Missing Kid, which we will show at this celebration.

Ann asks that guests wear their brightest colours to this event, just as John loved to.

Donations will be accepted for the Ukrainian aid fund World Central Kitchen.
